I haven't checked the accuracy of the temperature gauge yet because all the other eggs have hatched on day 21. It is tornado season here so the electricity goes out a lot.

Also, do they normally hatch so late? I have never had any of my chicks hatch that late.

Sorry it took me so long to reply, we went and got our first DUCKS:love! But anyway, I am needing the coop pretty soon, maybe in the next 2 or 3 weeks. I live about 30 minutes from Mcalester, OK so not far out.

It might be under too much stress. Do you have any other animals like a dog or something? And do you let it go outside? It would also do better if it had a companion.

I am too lazy to turn my eggs by hand. My luck I wouldn't remember to turn the eggs, not sure how you can.

I have a Farm Innovators 4250 so I just fill up both reservoirs which leaves the humidity around 58% - 69%.

Ok sorry, I did check their throats and there are no blockages or anything. They only make the sound when they are eating, which I thought was really weird. We will be getting the chickens checked as soon as possible.

Well, my humidity was running 22% - 31% until day 18, which is when I first put water in. Turned out great all six eggs hatched and there are happy and healthy.

Sorry if I sound dumb but why can't I breed from my flock? And what steps can I take to insure my second flock doesn't get infected?
