Hi pond! Thought I'd share a little life update! After a long time coming, our house has finally been delivered and tied down! There's still more to come. Power, water, land clean up, brick underpinning, porches, etc, but I'm already so proud! It's 4 bed, 2 bath with a living room and small den...
Hey guys! I have lavender ameraucanas now! I can't wait to get my breeding pen set up for them! I'm looking for some Black Copper marans, then I'm happy lol
I want 5 or 6, but I'm easing ethan into them. He didn't want any at all 🤣 So he agreed to two. I got a mini Rex today and he just rolled his eyes. Idk why he puts up with me 🤣 One day I'll have an army of geese. Why more ganders than geese?
I got 2! I see a few more coming into my life in the future 😆
Thank you!
I sure do but that's fine with me! We named him Colonel Sanders 🤣 But he's super sweet. After getting home and settled in with everyone, he climbed up in my lap and laid down lol. Not what I wanted 😬 But at least I know...
Well Happy birthday to me! I went to tractor supply to get some work boots and they had geese. I wasn't going to get any.... buuuuuut..... one of them picked me. ☺️ I've never had anything like that happen lol, but as soon as I got over there, it was chirping extremely loudly, looking at me...
They areeeee! Did she have a spitzhauben? I could see the first one being a spitzhauben mixed possibility with a silkie! The white one could very well be mixed with a satin silkie! As it still has the dark skin, legs and 5 toes! There are very few 5 toed breeds.
So honestly, I think the Ayam rooster would create the best zombie chicks. But the fun thing about owning chickens is the experimentation of breeding. So I would stick with the rooster you have for now and add some Ayam hens. They very well could come out just as good!
You're more than welcome! So if they are 2-3 weeks old, then the white one is 95% likely to be a pullet! But I also think the darker one is as well. But I'm only 60% sure of that lol. Here's why... anytime you go to a feed store and they sell you an Americana, ameraucana, or any other way that...
It's definitely possible to have a lavender olive egger! I currently have sapphire alove Eggers which looked identical to the chick in the picture! I've raised hundreds of birds, so my guess would be that the lavender ameraucana is a cockerel, butter with that being said, I have had more...
Ooh that's gonna be harr to tell! It makes it even more difficult not knowing if the silkies are crosses with a bantam breed or a standard breed. You might be able to tell once they're a little older. They're currently in that ugly "teenager" faze with most feathers but not all and looking funky...
