A couple days ago one of our hens was stuck in this squatting/penguin position, and she kinda waddled around barely.
We don't think she's egg bound, she's been pooping, eating, etc.
She doesn't try to run from us when we pet her though, which is weird. She just sits there.
We tried putting her...
It's looking like a roo.
The tail feathers are stuck up
This is one of my RIR pullets, notice how the tail is more downward and long, I'm not seeing that in you chicken.
Don't worry :)
It's all good.
And also some breeds are smaller than others, like my Rhode Island Reds look ALOT bigger than my Black Astralops, and they're the same age!
That's just how they look.
Astralops are more slim while RIR's are more buffed out.
So no need to worry :)
"Yes I have chickens, 8 of them, and yes they have names."
"Save the egg cartons"
"Oh, I could use this as an egg basket!"
"Save the watermelon for the babies!"
So I've had my chickens for about 6 months now.
And in the morning they'll go out to eat, drink some water, then they go in the coop and start making these weird, loud noises.
But no egg!
So why are they doing this?
and when will the eggs come?
