Woke up to 14 chicks in the bator this morning and today is hatch day! So excited to get home from work tonight to see if I have anymore.

My newest addition! Just hatched this weekend!

So I did have some hatch I think I ended up with 18 out of 34 which isn’t great but I’ll take it. I’m going to give the rest of the eggs another day or so. We’ll see. :idunno But here are some of my fluffies!

Locked down 34 eggs tonight. Does anyone else get nervous that none will hatch or is it just me? Also found one of my hens sitting on some eggs today. That’s 2 broodies this week!

Has anyone ever used mesh bags for hatching to keep breeds separated?

I just set another 124 eggs today:idunno. My last hatch sold before I could get them in the brooder!! :wee

Sooo.... I had 10/18 eggs hatch this weekend after I stressed about my incubator going wonky the other day. I ended up sending that incubator back but happy I at least got 10 fluffy butts! 4 standard Cochin 1 showgirl and 5 silkies.

These are my frizzle showgirls! They are the cutest and sweetest birds I have. I just love them.

I just love NN! I have a hen and a rooster! I’m hoping to get some babies from them soon.

Those are absolutelyPrecious! I just set 30 silkie eggs last night from a very good breeder! I can’t wait to see how they turn out!

Not a very good hatch this weekend! Only 6/12 Cochin hatched and I had to help 3 of them out of their shells because they were stuck like glue. I did have 6/9 silkies hatch with no issues. What could cause them having so much trouble getting out of their eggs. I’ve had one or two in the past ...
