Wow-I can't be leave other people got the same problems telling a male from female with the Black Australorp.

i have a small personal heater that i bought at walmart for $15-it's 200 watts and brings the temp up in my 24sq ft coop at night near 40 degrees when its like20- 25 degrees at night---also don't have worry about froozen water. NICE

i used pressure treated for the floor--cause of the mess they make and the outside part of the coop and my chickens are fine--they don't eat it.

hi---my 6 comet's are just over 6months -been laying for about a month---and all get along fine--got them all as 2 day old chicks---so they are sisters---as i call them---thinking about adding 2-3 Longhorns this summer--hopefully they will mix well---any suggestions on this or another bread...

HELLO-I'M FROM PLYMOUTH MA. as well i started with 6 comet's in JULY of 2012---i was new to it--it was pretty easy w/ just a little research on raising them---it has been very rewarding--lookin fwd to getting a few more this summer as well---just from my 6 chickens -i get 6 eggs a day...
