I never really though about the food having frost on it or possibly freezing. I will have to figure something out. It may b a little cramped with the food n water in the coop. I may be able to at least make a little shelter for just that outside. I am not sure how the snow will blow in this...
Hello All. It is my first upcoming winter with my new flock. I had to put the heated water dish out already tonight as the water froze today. Yikes!! Do you keep your food and water inside the coop or in the run? Does it matter?
Thanks for the thoughts. She has been with one other hen this whole time so I m thinking they will stick together. A friend suggested sectioning off an area in the big run and having the 2 by the 6 but separate for a time.
