Rain, rain rain! Everyday here in Texas (we don't get to say that often) and I'm worried about my chickens (who may now think they are ducks) Is walking on the wet muddy ground for days on end bad for them? Any suggestions for the run that I can do in between storms? I tried sand in a 10x10...

It's just several pictures of the same chicken... Do you think it's a hen or Roo? The picture at bottom shows comb serration and tail shape. I originally thought Roo because comb came in first... But still no tail feathers... So Im not sure

Anyone on thoughts of what breed this might be? Born on 1/24/16 (so about 4 months now) Bigger than my RIR's defined comb but not vocal and being bossed around by everyone. The other chickens are always trying to take its feet feathers away. :(

Can anyone confirm that this is a Langshan? It was my free "rare bird" from McMurry. I thought it was a rooster because the comb is so defined, but at 4 months old, I see no tail feathers and one of my other Hens turned out to be a Henry and has been very vocal this week while this one has not...

I think is an Americauna. I just got 6 of them and I called them my little chipmunks! They are so cute! Mine are 8 weeks old now. The one in the pictures is Henrietta. She loves the camera!

I put a 10 box nesting area up about a week ago in a new coop for my 40 chicks. We hadn't hung it up yet as we still need to cut some windows out....and today I noticed in 2 boxes there was poop..and a "hoard" or stash of worms. I sit in the coop for about an hour a day watching and observing...

Does anyone know what breed it might be? Its a rare breed I got for free from Mcmurray.
