In the process of getting some new hens after a few years without. But cannot remember what type of food or which internet supplier i bought from previously. Anyone in the UK able to recommend a certain type of product for point of lay, hybrid hens? Thank you in advance.

Thanks for the reply. The dogs wont be able to get near the chickens, they will be secure next door out of sight. They just bark a bit here and there. The trees have their branches cut up to a decent height. So the lowest branch is about 8 foot high. The run is metal framed. It will be built up...

Went away for a few days for Christmas, left the neighbour in charge of the chickens. He said he would feed them, make sure the water is topped up etc. Not sure if he didn't secure the run correctly or if a fox got in by forcing itself through a gap between the fence and the side of the run...

Thank you both. I worried that as its a small coop, holes might create a draft rather than help with ventilation. I will sort holes out in the morning and keep on top of cleaning out the poop more often.
