Sudden death in the flock (do hens have seizures?)

I am very new to chickens and do not know of anything that could kill your chickens that fast. But I do want to say that I am very sorry for your losses and will try to do some research to help. Were your chickens vaccinated for Mareks? How are your other chickens as of now?

    Gender?!

Oh well I don't really care either way. I was just wanting opinions. I'm keeping him even if he is a roo! Lol.

    Gender?!

He is such a little fluff ball. He's probably my favorite chick!

    Gender?!

That's what I was afraid of. It's on his head and I believe around his shoulder area.

    Gender?!

Hi everyone. I've posted this little chicken before but it's been a while so I thought I would post new pics. At first I thought definite roo but now I'm not so sure. His comb hasn't grown at all and he has almost no waddles. He is 12 weeks old. Also had not started trying to crow. He is a...

    Is it always this hard?!

Thank you so am I! I cried I was just so happy to see her doing better. She scratched around today outside and was not lethargic at all. Seems like she's back to herself but I'm going to keep a watchful eye. The only reason I even felt her crop was because I was researching all night on chicken...

    Is it always this hard?!

I will definitely not be buying chickens from random sources anymore! I think if I ever get more I will order them from a hatchery.

    Is it always this hard?!

Thank you everyone for your advice and well wishes! My little buff brahma hen is still residing in the house but I believe I have figured out the issue. Her crop was very swollen and almost water balloon like. I did a crop massage about an hour ago and she started burping and after about 5...

    Is it always this hard?!

My chickens are only around 10 weeks old so they are not laying yet. She is having a little trouble walking; when she puts her foot down she steps on her other foot instead of putting it straight in front of her. I'm not really sure how to explain it. Her crop was also pretty much empty like she...

    Is it always this hard?!

Oh and I have also dusted all of my chicks/chickens for mites and inspect them daily.

    Is it always this hard?!

I bought a few chickens the same age as the ones I already had and a few younger chicks that were too small to be outside yet. The two babies who died were still in the house. The two who were killed were outside in the coop and the one rooster with the messed up legs was outside also. I do...

    Is it always this hard?!

WARNING long post. I have had so many chicken woes. This is my first time owning chickens and I feel that I have had the absolute worst luck possible. I started out with 7 chicks from RK in April. At 2 weeks old one chick somehow injured his leg and it was sticking out at an odd angle. I thought...
