    Stray keet in our acreage

Backstory - we have a flock of neighborhood guineas (4) that roam between 3 lots. We feed and water them and they show up every morning. 1 has been missing for weeks. We assumed it was a predator. Fast forward to today and we found a crying keet in our lot, on her/his own trying to get in with...

    Older chicken lethargic and drooling.

Her crop is not full at all. I still massage it multiple times a day though. She’s done this before a few months ago and a good massage a couple time a day fixed her back up. I don’t think she’s laying anymore and hasn’t laid since we’ve adopted her. I just want her to be comfortable and if it’s...

    Older chicken lethargic and drooling.

I will. She’s in a kennel in the garage for safe and cool keeping. I hope she makes it through the night. What are the treatments for SC? I have ACV and can add that, but I don’t know if anything else.

    Older chicken lethargic and drooling.

Added info as I’ve watched her through the day-she has tried to poop but it basically liquid. Still lethargic. Drool is a tad bit cloudy and does not smell great at all.

    Older chicken lethargic and drooling.

I haven’t. But she never came out of the coop this morning at all. I found her in the “poop hammock” standing bc apparently she fell out of the perch I placed her on last night(she was laying down on the coop floor and I put up her up).

    Older chicken lethargic and drooling.

Hi. I adopted 5 chickens when we bought our house. A couple were 3 yo. Fast forward a year and one of my older ones has been lethargic for a few days and drooling today. She was a TS purchase from what the previous owner told me. No idea what her breed or exact age is. She’s extremely thin. She...

What breed is this? True Blue Whiting?

Wow! Thank you! I’ve got one that looks more classic but my other has a crazy beard. It’s exciting that they can vary so much!

What breed is this? True Blue Whiting?

My ameraucana is black with a white tummy so far. I was thinking EE with this one bc of the feather colors. So you really think it’s the other TBW? Such a drastic difference between the 2 chicks!!

3 week old Salmon Faverolle-pullet or roo?

Thank you! He’s pretty standoffish right now but settles well when he is handled. I have 2 more surprise roos as well - EE and Light Brahma. How would a faverolle roo compare against a LB roo?

3 week old Salmon Faverolle-pullet or roo?

Thank you. I knew there was a risk in the surprise chick option. How is the demeanor of yours? Or did you have to re-home him?

    9 week old surprise chick

Last one-this was an extra chick in my Meyer order in may. I’m guessing EE. 5 toes, beard, and clean legs. Comb is red which worries me. Any thoughts on breed/sex?

    Light Brahma pullet or roo?

Hi! I’m just posting about Roos today I guess. This is my 9 week old light Brahma. This is a huge bird with a very red comb. Did I get a roo accidentally?

What breed is this? True Blue Whiting?

My McMurray order had 2 true blue whitings, 2 red stars, 1 ameracuana, 1 silver grey Dorking and 1 surprise chick(salmon faverolle). They are all 3 weeks now. All breeds are accounted for except my 2nd true blue whiting. The other TBW is very light colored. Could this be a TBW too?

3 week old Salmon Faverolle-pullet or roo?

Hi! My McMurray surprise chick I’ve deduced is a Salmon Faverolle. 5 toes, feathered feet. Now to figure out sex. Black feathers on feet, chest and wings. Comb is much bigger than any of the others. If it is a roo-how is their demeanor? I will have 21 in my flock ages 3 and younger. I MAY have...
