One of our young Wyandotte Roos has a large swelling on his side, kind of under his wing. It is soft, squishy and almost feels like there is air in there. He is acting totally normal and happily running around outside. Any one have a clue what this could be? I have never seen anything like it.

Thanks, we got a new thermometer and got the temp perfect. Then yesterday had a middle of the night power outage, I'm thinking my babies are doomed, going to candle on Monday to see if any are developing. Not feeling hopeful since the power was off for over eight hours :(
They are fairly local to me, I used to work at a feed store and I had several people advise against them, we also had people coming in for replacement chicks since all the ones they had purchased from Destiny farms had died.
I have been really happy with the birds we ordered from Townline, nice quality birds and out of 75 chicks we brooded we only lost one.
I personally wouldn't buy from Destiny farm.
