Can you overdose a hen on calcium? Would there be a downside to giving a hen calcium longer--why wouldn't we give a susceptible hen regular calcium on a long term basis to prevent this?
This makes a lot of sense. People have a genetic predisposition to being gregarious or stand-offish. They can work at it to a point, but they are what they are. Makes sense that chickens and other animals would be the same.
I am very glad to hear they are friends again. Those two have coexisted peacefully for so long, it would be sad for that to have come to an end. Do you sense that Tootsie still is the alpha or are they on equal footing? The drama of the pecking order is endlessly fascinating!
