This morning one of my hens was acting like she was trying to push something out. When I got back from work she still was and not behaving normally. I gave her a bath and felt around. It feels like there is an egg in her sideways. Does this sound like a lodged egg? Never had this problem before...

I bought a couple bags of Dumor crumbled feed last week at TSC. When I opened it the first thing I smelled was licorice and the feed was a pale white color. Usually it is brown/tan. Anybody else seen this? I'm wondering if the ingredients are correct also. Thanks

I've combined a couple times and never had problems. I let the younger flock catch up in size so they could protect themselves. Then I put the younger ones in with the older flock at night. When they wake up it's not as much of a surprise. Good luck...

Try combining them at night. Always worked good for me.

lol...that is funny. That would be great if you could post some pics. I am curious to see what they might turn out like. Good luck on breeding some high quality birds. We could certainly use more of them today and in the future.
