    You can encourage her but cant make her go broody. You could try putting rubber eggs in her nest box and if she takes to them slip some actual eggs underneath her.

    He might have eaten a twig ganders sometimes try to make nests and occasionally they end up getting stuck in their throat, like said before check his neck for anything that could be stuck. Hope he recovers soon.

    You could try raising the water a little bit so they cant get in, but they can still drink out of it.

    Probably a rook they gave bigger beaks, and I have a massive group that live in my back garden. they are usually only interested in the food/grain.

    My daughter loves geese too, but she is not that small she's 11 and has 3 eggs in the incubator currently. Wishing you well with finding a place.
