Oh, she definitely has trouble seeing where she is. She does not even seem able to fly up onto the roosts in the coop. I have thought about trimming around her eyes but have been quite nervous to do so. Anyone have advice on the best way to do that?
Sorry to be so vague with the thread title, but I couldn't think of a succinct way to describe this issue. I have this Swedish Flower Hen who insists on sitting in this doorway all the time. When the door closes in the evening (it's on a timer), more often than not, she ends up outside. She is...
Thanks. I have read that and I have a rooster flock already.

Bumping this thread because I have the same question and no one answered the OP. I got Isbars from Greenfire and all of the pullets are black except this one. Hatched September 29. I thought they were only blue, black or splash. Thanks for any input.

10 weeks old
I have another that looks just the same but am having trouble uploading the other pictures.
Thoughts on this one or too early to tell?
Thanks!
I know this thread is a little old and was originally about rooster maturity, but it was the closest I could find without starting a new thread. I have 2 Buff Brahmas from McMurray that were hatched March 13th and neither is laying yet. When do Brahmas usually start laying? All the other...
Thank you. That's helpful. All the gold cuckoo maran chick photos I've seen are pretty dark. This is what it looked like at 5 days old.
And, thanks, I will take that band off now.
