As of today I've got 32 chicks out of 41 eggs I definitely call this a successful hatch. I will forever recommend you to everyone who wants these beautiful BCM. Thank you Brian.
I have over half of my BCM hatch within the last couple of days and still hatching. Also very proud of my Lil' Fluffy Butts and Brian for his excellent eggs and the way he packages and shipping. Thank you so much Brian these chicks are beautiful.
I had 11 out of 16 hatch on days 20-22 then I waited until today to candle the last 6 to find fully formed chicks dead. I'm so grateful for the 11 but I'm wondering if it's because the incubator was unplugged being the reason the others died before hatching.
I made my first brooder that wasn't a dog cage today and I'm kinda proud of it because I've never built anything in my life out of lumber. The dog cage with a cardboard box inside was working fine until I went chick crazy this month. :)
Ok thank you I will try that. I have been so proud of my first set of eggs I just candled them yesterday to find about 65% viable now this happens. I'm devastated!
I just purchased 15 RIW that were straight run but it appears now that I have 7 Roo's with 8 pullets. They will be laying this summer sometime around July. I'm not keeping but 2 roo's so if you're interested in those I could ship them or in the hatching eggs or chicks this summer just let me know.
This is my first time hatching I have a Chinese brandless incubator but it's been keeping a constant perfect temp until it was accidentally unplugged today about 10 AM. It was unplugged about an hour where the temperature has dropped to 91 degrees and now I can't get the temp back up to 99.5...
I ordered 24 BCM and received 25 with all packaged beautifully and perfect. I'm expecting the hatch on April 7th then I will update on my beautiful hatchlings. Thank you Brian!! I can't wait for the next 4 dozen to arrive.
