Tips for keeping Chickens out of neighbors yard?

I completely agree with this, I am not insinuating I think my chickens should be allowed to browse on their land or enter their garage unwelcomed. I'm simply saying that they indicated previously they enjoyed having them over and were purposely feeding them cat treats. Now that this has become a...

Tips for keeping Chickens out of neighbors yard?

Thank you for all of their responses. I guess I should add we have about 5 acres and they have a ton of room to roam and don't spend a lot of time in the neighbor's yard, I think they were lured over by the cat treats offered by them 😔. I've actually checked in with both neighbors numerous times...

Tips for keeping Chickens out of neighbors yard?

We have a flock of 9, and up until just recently have been allowed to free range in the neighborhood and have not been seemingly bothering anybody. The neighbors had started feeding our girls cat food, unfortunately now they gravitate over there and go in their garage and eat the cat food if the...

7-8 week old EE, guesses on gender?

Thank you everyone! That made my daughter very happy, she's hoping for some colored eggs 😊. We already had one "pullet" that turned out to be a Roo, I was hoping we wouldn't have another 😏

    How many Hens per Rooster?

thank you so much. We purchased sexed pullets so we would not have this issue but ended up with this Leghorn "pullet", who is about 4 weeks old now We also have a jersey giant that's comb is very small but is starting to become the tad bit pink, also an Easter egger that I read can be difficult...

    How many Hens per Rooster?

I don't really have a plan, my hens free range so I thought it may not be bad to have one to protect the girls, but I don't want the hens to be stressed or worn out, and I do have children (youngest is 7) so we couldn't keep a rooster that was aggressive towards them. I hate the idea of killing...

    How many Hens per Rooster?

We have 4 adult Buff Orpington hens, about 3.5 years old. We just bought 6 new chicks (sexed pullets) to add to our flock. They are 6 different breeds, but I'm fearing we have at least one roo in the mix, possibly more 😩. We got lucky last time with all hens. We live in the country and can keep...

3 week old EE...pullet or roo??

We purchased this "Ameracauna" chick from TSC as a sexed pullet, after reading these forums I'm assuming "she" is actually an EE. I'm a little worried about the sex though, we bought a sexed leghorn that is turning out to be a Roo :-( Any guesses on the sex of this 3 weeks-ish old EE?

    Comb Already?

We have a 3.5 week old Leghorn "pullet" who is growing a giant comb that I'm suspecting is a Roo too 😳😆. I hope he turns out to be sweet, I was looking forward to the Leghorn egg productivity in my small flock 🤨. I'm crossing my fingers they both turn out to be stealthy pullets that just happen...

    Leghorn pullet or too??

So it's a little bigger than the others, but not *that much* bigger, here's a bird's eye view for reference. The reddish one is a little older than the others, the gray/yellow one a little younger.
