Thank you for taking the time to explain in a way I could understand. The partridge will not be used for any breeding purposes and likely to go as a pullet int he spring. I'll keep working on the whites!
Again, thank you for sharing your time and information. You were very helpful!

Are you referring to mine? If so...can I ask why? They (and I actually just mean the one chick) were with Ameracauna hens (pb, no question) and an Ameracauna roo (again, pb. It would be no small feet for our other roo - an ameracauna/leghorn cross - to have been with this hen). The hen is black...
I'm okay with EEs! They're very friendly and awfully darned cute. And I'm super excited to see what coloring they will get, particularly the chipmunk marked ones....
Thanks for your input and knowledge! There's a reason I come to BYC first!!!
Okay, okay...back me up here so I understand this completely.
Because this 'blue partridge' is the offspring of a p/b ameracauna hen and roo, she is purebred, but considered an EE because she is a has unrecognized coloring?
That makes better sense...I couldn't figure out how another roo...
Sneaky is right!! He chanced his life getting in there with that roo! Yeesh.... I was SO sure she was pure!!
AND I was so sure she was a SHE! A cockeral you say? Based on...something to do with the comb I'm guessing? Please educate me! I've only been at 'chickening' about a year and a half...
Can someone advise me about my little Ameracauna, Miss Kitty? She looks partridge, but with blue? Roo was white (blue dominant) and hen was black.
I was surprised when she/he showed up with this coloring! lol

Can anyone comment (just from curiosity sake) on my BLR roo and hen? Both 2 yrs old. Pet stock birds and just trying to educate myself. Is he considered too brassy?
Sorry!! Only one I can find of her so far!!
Also, are my chicks BLR, or EEs?
Chick #1
Chick #2...
First, here's my Ameracauna from a Blk hen and Wh roo (w/dominant blue). Is this a partridge ameracauna?

Next question. Are these Wyandotte or EEs? Any guesses to colouring? I think the darkest might be a black laced?
Dark one:
Lighter one...
