PLEASE HELP ASAP! Teflon poisoned duckling from hair dryer has seizures!!

This is a follow up to my recent post (https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/need-help-asap-duckling-has-seizures-nutritional-issue.1630922/) about my duckling's random seizures that she started having. I went a little deeper into the bird seizures rabbit hole and found out about Teflon which...

NEED HELP ASAP! Duckling has seizures, nutritional issue?

Thank you!!! I made the decision to move her in with me.. this way I can supplement more vitamins without harming the rest of the ducklings, and I can keep her from hurting herself during seizures. I just hope she'll improve before I leave

NEED HELP ASAP! Duckling has seizures, nutritional issue?

She's just had a couple more seizures in a very short time. The last of which she had right about now and it seemed so much worse. I'm so afraid for her. Should I take her in my room and separate her from the rest? They tend to be quite messy and since she sits so much she always gets all wet...

NEED HELP ASAP! Duckling has seizures, nutritional issue?

It's a mill mix from stuff my family grows. Corn, grain, sunflower seeds and soy. I add one tbsp of brewers yeast per cup of feed. I also mix in water with a small amount (so as to not overdose with any of the vitamins since I already add it to the drinking water) of the vitamin complex I was...

NEED HELP ASAP! Duckling has seizures, nutritional issue?

My 3-4 week old duckling has been having these seizures a couple of timed per day and I'm so afraid she might die from it. What she does is she suddenly starts shaking her neck, falling down and throwing her neck on her back. One such seizures from today is on the video linked below. I am...

Duckling egg externally pipped but no movement or developing in hours. Please HELP!

Hi!! It's day 27 of my duck incubation journey and one of the eggs has externally pipped overnight and at about 9 AM when I woke up to check on them there was a small cracked bump like they do once they start to externally pip. The previous evening I could hear it tapping and saw it rocking...

Humidity question. NEED HELP ASAP. Duck eggs

I have been keeping my duck eggs at 50-55% humidity and so far all have been developing nicely. I suggest getting a hygrometer and calibrating it to know the accurate humidity in your incubator.

Embryo forming too close to the air cell?

They are upright, with the larger side up. I use one of those simultaneous turning devices where they are set upright and it has a little thingamajig on the outside so I can manually turn them all at the same time w/out opening the bator. (If that counts for something lol) What you're saying...

Embryo forming too close to the air cell?

Here's yet another incubation question from me lol. This whole journey is so much more intimidating than using a broody darnit 10 duck eggs in the bator, about day 4. Candled today and 7 are clearly fertile and developing, only their little blood island seems to be forming too close to the...

Ducklings and bantam chicks in the same brooder? How bad of an idea is it?

How bad of an idea would it be to brood standard sized ducklings and mille fleur chicks together? My dear mille fleur hen Agnes died a while back at the claws of a dog. We adored that hen and now have the opportunity to get some of her sisters' fertile eggs to hatch from the farm where we got...

Humidity question. NEED HELP ASAP. Duck eggs

Also, my incubator has a display with the temp and humidity, but the temp is off by 2 degrees, I use another 2 calibrated thermometers which show the same (I assume right) temperature. But the hygrometer might be off too. So even tho it shows 64% humidity, it may in fact be lower or higher. If...

Humidity question. NEED HELP ASAP. Duck eggs

Hello!! I bought myself an incubator recently and set some duck eggs today. However, I'm a bit confused with the humidity requirements. I live in Romania, and for some reason most romanian youtube videos and sites that I've seen seem to recommend 60-70% for the first period and 80%-85% at...

Is my incubator showing the right humidity?

OK!! It seems like there's been a mistake on my part. 75% humidity is tremendous for duck eggs even for the first part of the incubation. Online the reccomendations seem to average 40% humidity. But my incubator instructions advise 75% and 85%-90% during lockdown which compared to what everyone...
