Thanks for your reply! Yes, he did turn our to be a rooster and had to go. :( when I brought him back hatchery they said he was a cross between Ameracauna and a blue Maran. Good call on your part!!!

13 weeks old...hen or rooster?

The bird is 12-13 weeks old

I have the same question! I'm a newbie to chickens and was told this was an Ameraucana hen when I bought it. Can anyone please verify that it is indeed a hen and not rooster??
