    The Silver Laced Wyandotte Thread

Can you tell me where you got your bantam SLW eggs or if you have any to sell? I love my Slw bantams and had a trio. Critter, no longer on this earth, got my little roo and one hen. I've repaired and secured the pen but new to get some more for my little Molly. Any help would be appreciated...

Do you have bantam SLW's? I would be interested in eggs or chicks.

    Ahhhhh!!! Roaches!!!!!

20 Muleteam Borax. It is a old laundry booster. Sprinkle it in an area where pets and chickens can't get to it. The roaches/bugs will eat it and take it back to the nest on their feet. It dehydrates them. Just put it where your pets can't reach. Great for ants too.

    Question for land owners

Mine is about 50 feet from the house and I have water and electric. It is attached to the back of my greenhouse, measures 14x20 and works great to keep an eye on them.

I rescued chickens They have very little feathers on their backs.

Quote: There's a good thread on here on how to check for them just search for it. I would use Sevin Dust, 5% and make sure you get it under wings etc.

    Ants in coop

Ants don't have a chance in my coop. Chickens eat them like they're candy! I also crumble dried herbs in the nest just in case. Never had a problem with them.

Did you check for lice or mites? Might want to do that.
