I am setting up my hen house as we speak, I have picked up 6 chicks, 2 buff orpingtons, 2 barred rocks and 2 rhode island reds all pullets. I had researched before buying my chicks, however I am now second guessing myself. Is this a good mix? I have now heard that RIR can be very aggressive...

I honestly do not know the answer for you, however I will say that when I purchased my chicks today I was able to find a small, (5lb ish) sized bag of chick grower for about 4 bucks. I imagine that you should be able to also find smaller bags at your local feed store. Good luck!
