Chicken Breed Focus - Isbar (Blue Isbar)

I am not too surprised,we have a beautiful splash and she lays brown eggs also. She looks like the perfect phenotype Isbar but some how there must be a throwback to earlier in the breed. Isbars are a relatively new breed so things like this can happen,i will let some of her eggs hatch to see what...

    Thailand Anyone?

Mom, what kind of eggs are you looking for? There are some members over there you could contact, just look in this thread. Importing eggs the legal way is very difficult and expensive,on the other hand there are already a lot of breeds in Thailand so if you just let us know where you are looking for?

Chicken Breed Focus - Isbar (Blue Isbar)

Yes they all lay the nice coloured eggs but like i said i have no idea were they are from and it is next to impossible to find any over here. I hope i can find some to get some fresh blood but for now i just enjoy them, they are very easy going laid back birds. Maybe it is possible to send some...

Very nice to see a lot of people like their Isbars,i also have a few. One adult male and three hens and a few chicks, they all look ok to me and they have all the traits i read about here. I do think the males comb is very large,it is hanging to one side and most of the pics i see the comb is...

    Thailand Anyone?

I think the difference between the two breeds is easy to see,i have seen Chinese geese who are more slender and have longer necks.I guess there are two different types.

    Thailand Anyone?

We have four geese, two African and two Chinese. They are still young but fully grown already,i hope to get some eggs next year. We did get the African ones first and they are very quiet birds, not a high pitched sound. The African ones, well that is a different story, noisy. I will try to get some...

    Thailand Anyone?

Last trip to Chiang Mai we got some Brahmas from a shop over there. They were small chicks and the owner showed me the parents, now they are bigger and no way they are real Brahmas. They were not cheap and we lost two because of disease,i need to look into Brahma bantams i think. They should be a...

I also have been trying for awhile to find some runner ducks over here but no luck.I think Andy is no longer in Thailand because i talked to some one who said he got Andys runners but that is where that ended. Anyone out there who can help us locate some Indian runners?
