Sorry, I'd post the pics here but I'm on my phone and it takes forever! If I can later I will if that'll help.

    The Wyandotte Thread

Hello Wyandotte people! The Wyandottes are such beautiful birds. I have two in my flock of 19 and, shh don't tell the other birds, lol, they're two of the prettiest. My Marans boys are looking pretty nice, too, though, so they have a bit of competition. I posted my BLR and GL on the "What breed...

    Sex? Breed?

The first one looks a lot like one of my Easter Eggers. From what I can see in the pic it even has the greenish legs. My EE is very sweet, a little shy. One of my favorite breeds. You got some cute chicks!

Total EE confusion! Opinions? 7 1/2 wks old

Well the dark grey one has been practicing his crowing for two days now! So, yup, cockerel! Thanks guys! Hes also been trying to "get with" the ladies already, earning him the possible name Heffner, lol. Thought its a bit early for that, and its freaking my girls out, they haven't seemed to...

9 wk old BLR and GL Wyandottes, roos or pullets? So hard to tell!

So can anyone offer any help or opinions? Or has anyone had experience sexing Wyandottes? So far these two have been the most difficult to tell out of my whole flock of 19.

    Light Sussex sexing, 9wks old

Hello. Here are my 3 Sussex chicks. So far our general household opinion is one maybe roo, one pullet and one "who knows". We could all be completely wrong, so opinions welcomed! Here they are - Light Sussex #1 #2 is wiggly, I did what I could! #3, the smallest Thanks for any help!

9 wk old BLR and GL Wyandottes, roos or pullets? So hard to tell!

Hi! Hope you guys can help. These two are challenging. I'm thinking (hoping) pullets. Other than my bantams (look for them in an upcoming post, lol) they're the only ones who are developing combs/wattles slowly. I know they're only 9 weeks but some of my other breeds are getting pretty distinct...

Total EE confusion! Opinions? 7 1/2 wks old

Hello! I'm the proud mom of three EEs, or Americaunas, who knows. I'm pretty sure they're Easter Eggers, except for one. So I was hoping you guys who are more experienced could provide some help and opinions. On both the usual "do I have a pullet or a roo?" question and if any are a true...

    6 wk old Australorps, 1 roo & 1 pullet??

Hello! Hoping to get some opinions on the sex of my Black Australorps. These pics were taken about a week ago when they were right around 6 weeks old. I think I have one of each. Was kind of hoping the roo is just a pullet with a fast growing comb and wattles but I'm thinking not. They're both...

    Dust bathing for chicks?

Awesome idea on recycling an old dresser! For both the dust bath and the planter boxes, both also happen to be projects I'm into doing right now, chickens and raised bed gardening. As far as dust bathing advice, I guess I'm in need of some too. I put DE powder in a cleaned and disinfected...

    What breed is this ?

It almost looks like an older version of my week and a half old Australorp chicks. They have white around their eyes like that. Almost look like fuzzy mini penguins. Too cute!
