I thought so as well, but wanted more opinions. I have bought 10 chickens and 5 have been cockerels. We will have to send him back to the farm since we are not permitted to have roosters. Just wish my luck was better.:)

Penny - she (?) is a Buff Orpington. We had a Rhode Island Red start crowing so we had to take him back to the farm since we are not permitted to have roosters in town. Now a few days later, Penny starts crowing. What is your opinion? Is this a rooster or a hen that thinks she is a rooster...
