Yeah we were just looking for anything quick. Just expanded the coop and left the top open. Way more space but also more vulnerable. Wanted a rooster to help keep the flock safe.
Posted several places because so many times you never get a response. We did find one yesterday though and already...
Say what!!?? We just really like the golden comets. They have awesome temperament with the kids and lay really well etc. Wanted to have more GCs.
So you are saying that having a male and female GC will not produce GC offspring.
I am relatively still new at this but how does that work?
Just moved to a place where we can have a rooster. Building a much bigger enclosure and wanting to expand our flock naturally.
We need 1 Golden Comet Rooster to come join our hens and get it on.
Knoxville area in east Tennessee. Can't drive more than an hour away. Willing to pay 15 for the...
We are getting close to starting our first coop. I wanted to describe our situation and get your feedback on anything I might be missing.

We are planning to order 3 golden comets and 3 light...
Ok. So I'll just make as big an enclosure as I can. I can probably get around 500 sq ft without upsetting city rules. I read somewhere that the coop itself needs to be not bigger than the chickens need to help hold warmth. Is that correct for brahmas
Yeah I found out from another forum that ponds are a bad idea. I didn't know they couldn't swim, but I guess all birds aren't ducks.
Thats a good idea to split the run so the other side can grow. Are there at plants chickens like to munch on that will grow back quicker than they can kill it?
I am on a construction site and have access to a bunch of old rebar. Some is bent some is straight. Does anyone have any ideas of how I could use that in a coop? I don't want to haul crap home and never use it and right now I have no ideas.
