Swollen Nare & Beak, plus growth on left side - looks very painful

Hi Eggcessive, Please see pics. I don't see anything unusual in her mouth or throat. Yes, I've had her since she was two days old and, of course, she's my favorite. Do you have any idea of how I can help her? This abscess, or whatever it is, looks so painful.

Swollen Nare & Beak, plus growth on left side - looks very painful

Hi Azygous, - Location is St. Petersburg, FL. Lots of mosquitoes. - She did wear pinless peepers from March through April 60 days. When I took them off of her, her left nostril bled a small amount; so there was a bit of trauma. The large sized peepers wouldn't stay on so had to use the...

Swollen Nare & Beak, plus growth on left side - looks very painful

Hi LaFleche, - No injury that I ever noticed though she did have pinless peepers on for 60 days, March through April. - It's not hard or soft. I would call it very firm. Like an abscess. It did not feel any warmer than other areas or other side. - No smell at all from the beak area.

Constant diarrhea - completely soaking the coop bedding

Hi Eggcessive. Please see my post above that shows the vet response to the number of oocysts. The mulch in the covered and uncovered runs is around 6-8 inches deep. I agree that it needs to be removed and am actively working on that and in the meantime am picking up individual poops many...

Constant diarrhea - completely soaking the coop bedding

Hi All, @Eggcessive @azygous @dawg53 I finally got the test results back. The vet was pretty adamant about testing each individual bird (3) so I had to play along. He did agree to test a combined sample too. Results of Fecal Testing: A total of 4 fecal samples were tested: Wyandotte #1...

Distended, pendulous, impacted crop - been fighting this for 7 days

I want to offer my sincere thanks to all you guys. It took about 3 weeks of crop feeding, massage, meds, etc. but her crop seems to be completely fine now; empty in morning and not sagging. I did buy a crop bra but don't think I'll need to use it at this time. Just wanting to let you all know...
