Updating what's happened so far
Sadly, all the duck eggs were clear inside by day 7... so I'm guessing none were fertilized to begin with :confused:
About the two goose eggs left...
One didn't have an air sac and looked bubbly inside... I took it out since it showed no...
I've had this happen with me in my first hatch-
What I did was also quickly and carefully hand turn the pipped egg a little to the upper side... that seemed to help them pip and zip the rest of the egg, but once you open the incubator you gotta keep an eye on the humidity and make sure it's not...

I am hatching these eggs while living with my aunt which has a lot more experience with poultry, mostly chicken and ducks, she also agrees that the seller probably sent old goose...

I just came back from breaking the last 2 eggs that were dark inside when candling
As imagined, the yolk was loose and scrambled, not as spoiled as the previous ones but still bad...
I suppose shipping is one of the reasons for the losses since they traveled a long way for a...

That sounds like the safest option indeed ..
It's a shame since I really wanted to hatch a couple geese and it's really hard to find them near where I live...
I will probably toss the dark-inside ones tomorrow and keep an eye on the clear eggs to see if there's...

I just candled the goose eggs remaining along with a duck egg that I set together with them.
I got the muscovy duck egg from a neighbor and have been turning them daily while I waited for the goose ones to arrive so they seem fine and were cared for all this time.

I'll candle the others at night time when it's dark and check what they look like.
I did candle the rotten ones yesterday and they were mostly dark inside so this will work as a reference I think.

I was very sad to think about losing those goose eggs, but I would be even sadder to risk losing all of them .. So I followed your advice and you were totally right.
