Of course with a chicken you never know until its too late / of course noticeable. But this afternoon while doing daily check noticed my ameraucana walking funny. Appears one of her toe nail fell off, maybe another one loose. Base leg feels slimy. Shes limping but able to walk on it. I squeezed...
I have a 1/2 acre pond. Grew up hunting greenheads in timber. Always was a pretty sight seeing them come in cupped / commited. We enjoy cooking with the eggs also. I was wanting to keep one of the greenheads and the swede if possible bc he has a trump toupee’ . The khaki doesnt have that prety...
not at all. Since i have a regulator i started out at around 10psi. The eggs werent moving at all; only a few on the bottom. All the videos i watched had minimum of 20psi. I ran it up some bc i had a little bit better control of air pressure via a pressure switch and having so many to work thru
After seeing a few designs on youtube i went ahead and made one up.
Material ;
5 gallon bucket
Copper tubing
Quick connect hose
Pressure regulator
Drill
I have zero $ in this. But it can be made realy easy. I coiled some bulk 3/8 copper tubing to fit inside bucket. Drilled a bunch of 1/8...

Correct. But if i read her post correctly; its already full. And the age of those is not listed. So they will need to be hand turned until the ones that pipped are hatched.
The original post is one big long run on sentence so im trying to make do with what’s available.
She really needs to...
my original post still stands tehn. Put the late hatcher in a homemade incubator if your other one is full. The 3 day olds are ready to explore and mom will manage them. Its mother nature at work. You cant make her stay on a nest. She will kill the baby trying to escape by u freaking her out...
Or do u mean she has some 3 day old & 1 day olds? If that’s the case it should work itself out by tomorow. They will all bundle up together tonite and will follow mom tomorrow
