Hi everyone! I just got my first set of ducklings. Here is what I do know, the yellow one is either a white or a snowy call duck and the dark one is also a call duck but I do not know what color the parents are. Does anyone know what color it may turn out to be? I am so excited to see how they...
These are my other three, they are about 11 weeks here. I know my ameracauna looks like a roo but I am hoping my SLW and silkie are hens. let me know what you think! thanks(:

Here are some updated pictures- taken today. I am very unhappy to say that I am almost positive that my SLW is a roo. I noticed today that he has little bumps on the inside of his legs(spurs, I'm assuming). I still think that my cochin, Greta is a hen. She looks just like my big girl Jetta. I...

I think clipping wings would really help keep the chickens in the fenced area if that is your ultimate goal. Teila makes a very good point about predators as well!
the neighbor kids came over and let my...
Thank you all for your input, I think I will just wait for a while- putting them out with the big girls as soon as I get a warm spell. still crossing my fingers for hens, but I have 3 more chicks that are about 6 weeks old so I should at least get a few hens out of the bunch. One more question...
The fence is only about 3.5ft tall. It was actually a recycled fence from my grandpas yard. Most of my coop is recycled so it fits right in. We did not pour concrete, just dug holes and filled tem in around the posts to keep them sturdy. I really recommend making sure the gate I big enough to...
Both of these are about 9 weeks right now, I am not sure of the sex but if they are roosters I have to get rid of them. To me, the silver Wyandotte looks and acts more like a rooster but my Cochin looks a lot like my adult cochin hen. I would really love some other opinions from people who know...
