I just found 2 large nests of turkey eggs. One has several eggs and the narragansett is trying to set on them. The other has about a dozen eggs and I caught a midget white laying in there. I have burbon red, blue slates, narragansett, and midget white. I find it very odd that they are laying...

I have alot of blue slates/self_blues. and I think alot of them are hens but I'm not sure yet. I also have 5 BR toms and only one hen. GRR. I live in Poplarville, mississippi. It is still a distance from you but if anyone happens to go to that area I will get in touch.

I don't think mine are going to do anything either. Very disappointing... I have a female emu chick that is almost 2 months old but she is all by herself and I was hoping I would hatch at least one to go with her. Hope you have better luck chickenzoo!

hi, I'm on day 21 also. I used the egg carton method this time and I'm very concerned that they are not hatching. I usually use a turner or hand turn. This maybe a very expensive lesson for me and a heartbreaker. I usually have pips or chirping or something going on but nothing.

I'm still waiting on day 48. This waiting is very hard especially when it gets this close.

my emu eggs are on day 46. When do I stop turning them and raise the humidity? I thought I heard a chirp but it might have been my imagination. Please help. thanks, K

I Got real busy hatching silkies and I forgot what day the other bator chicks were supposed to hatch. T oday is Day 19 and the turner was still on and I hadn't put them in lockdown or raise the humidity. I just did this.. Do you think it will negatively affect the hatch? I feel terrible. K

YEAH:D Got one Brahama hatched. several piping.. a Had to go to work and leave them... bummer. Can't wait to see how many hatch before I get home.

My first try on silkies that were shipped from a very short distance was not good 6 out of 30. I'm going to try one more time but I don't think they do as well as other shipped eggs. Good Luck!!

hi everyone. I'm on lockdown. Couldn't candle well because of dark eggs. I hope I hatch at least 50%. I hope everyone else is doing well. Now comes the really hard waiting!!!

update.. When I got home I had 2 silkies out and one more piping. Total so far is 6 alive, 1 dead, and 1 didn't develop. Due date was today. I haven't heard any other pips. This is out of 30 eggs. I am sort of disappointed. I wanted some white silkies so bad. I will give them a few more days...
