    Masonry Sand vs River Sand

Hi! What is the difference in masonry and river sand? I currently have construction grade sand in my coop and it isn't draining and drying very well. I need to add more sand and read that river sand is the way to go. In searching where to buy river sand to replace my existing sand, masonry...

    Ameraucanas? Pullet or Cockerel?

I got them from my son's STEM teacher. She told me the first one was an Araucana and the fourth pic was a Barnvelder. My son said when the were in incubation he thought she said Ameraucanas for the second one.

    Ameraucanas? Pullet or Cockerel?

Hi! These are my babies. They are 7 weeks old (7 weeks and 3 days). I would love feedback on what we might have. We were told one was an Araucana and a Barnvelder...the others might be Ameraucanas. I'm super curious on pullets and/or cockerels. THANKS!

    Chicken Coop Do's and Don'ts

I am a new chicken owner and we are in the process of building our first coop. We don't have a ton of room for a large coop but are planning on a 6x10 run with the coop elevated. The coop would be 4x6 with 3 to 4 nesting boxes inside (we will only have 5 to 6 chicks). My question is - what...

New member and new chicken owner.

Hi everyone! I am new here and am new to the chicken world. We have 7 week old chickens - we are not exactly sure what kind of chickens we have. We aquired our new babies via a STEM class that my son was in - it was a foster fail! I have always wanted chickens, so this seemed like a perfect...
