Your "roo" looks like and sounds like a hen to me. My silkie roo has a prominent comb that I am not seeing on yours. Also, all of the behaviors you are describing I have seen with my own broody silkie hens.

Thanks for your reply. Some of the eggs have a few days left and Ill have to toss them. They all started laying at once after a lull. When they were broody no one was laying except for my big hens. Oh well.
