My chicks are getting so big! I went to see my parents for Mother's Day....gone for a few days, and when I got back home....they had grown so much! I will have to take some more close-up pics......May 18th they will be 2 weeks old....the picks should be interesting. Btw, lightchick....your new...

Your extra yellows have more brown in them than mine do. Interesting. :)

Not sure if you got Reds....they usually start out a def. rusty color, not yellow. Could be New Hamp's??? Time will tell. Deleware's start out yellow too....who knows?? :) Just have fun with them. :)

Ordered some Australorp's for the first time. I saw your list that says you had 8? How do they feather out from chicks to chicken? How are their temperament?

Lightchick, How old is your Australorp now? Just wondering how they are going to look when they feather out. What others do you have? Wondering too what their temperament is....mine seem to be docile so far.

I have raised chickens before, but it has been several years.....my boyfriend wanted to raise some, and so here we are. I have always liked the Rhd. Reds, but he wanted to get some Australorps.....never have raised them before. They will turn out all black and have a green sheen. Chickens are...
