Hi everyone. I have 2 coops and 15 hens. 14 of the hens all crowd into 1 coop! The one lonely girl insists on going into the 2nd coop but is there by herself all night. When we had the cold temps, we picked her up and made her join the others just for the warmth. It’s milder now so tonight...

We lost a barred rock hen (egg bound) so we wanted to replace her with another barred rock. A local breeder had an ad, so we got 2 from her. We thought they were both hens. We noticed right away they don’t look exactly like the 2 barred rocks we got from the hatchery.

Any ideas as to his other half?

This morning he CROWED 3 times! You gals were right!

Never crowed. 6 months old. Not very assertive. Supposed to be a hen, but I rather doubt it. What think you all?

Are alfalfa grass and alfalfa sprouts the same?

I have a beautiful grazing box built by a neighbor. I bought some non-GMO alfafa sprout seeds. But all the instructions refer to growing them inside. Can I not spread them in the grazing box soil?

I have to disagree. I found this company to have THE WORST customer service in creation! No replies to e-mails, problematic batteries/chargers. Omlet doors are far superior and they are side opening. I tore out my Hentronix, put it in the trash and installed the Omlet and never looked back.

And whatever you do, don’t consider Hentronix! Poor design and WORST customer service in the world!
