When I last checked earlier it was fine, but I'm pretty sure her broody has been broken. She's been hanging out with the rest of the crew most of the day. I guess we'll see tonight if she comes up on the porch for her evening cuddles or not.
So my free range ee has been broody for about a week now and has been in the woods behind our house. We had some bad storms roll through today and she's been on the porch with the other chickens for a few hours. I'm just curious if the storm may have broken her broodiness or if it's more likely...
We got 4 bantam chicks today and 2 I know for sure are silkies, the other 2 I'm not sure. The have feathered legs and feet, but no extra toe and light colored skin. I was thinking maybe cochin or brahma. The silver one (Noodle) is smaller than all the others.
So my rooster somehow broke one of his toe nails. He's been acting normal other than when he's standing, he'll hold his leg up. He's been walking okay though. Is there anything we need to do for him or just let it heal on its own and keep an eye on him?
Sorry I didn't get any pictures, he ran...
That's what we were thinking since he has traights from other breeds. And, yes, he is gorgeous and he knows it lol. I always tell him what a majestic beast he really is.
The pictures don't show his leg color as much and he doesn't have leg mites. They're much more blue than that and the little turd doesn't want to stay still for a better pic lol. We've had him for about 6 months now.
