    Poor Tippy...we noticed with the heavy snow our "cage" (preditor proof 6x8 area) are showing stress cracks at the joints...must to some reinforcing.

    My 38 y.o. sister won't touch our eggs! But, she has no idea where the eggs she buys in the store comes from. I know how my chickens, live, eat.... She's such a germaphobe, yet she won't eat my grls' eggs. Weird.

    Four golden comets, a welsummer and cukoo marin. Help!

    The comets appear to be laying eggs with very fragile shells. (Almost translucent) They are just over a year old. We have crushed shells for calcium and use Agway's layer feed. When the deformed eggs are laid, they are quickly eaten by the rest. Any suggestions?
