I'll give that a shot. They are about 30ft away from each other now. Should I put them closer?

I haven't had and real issue with predators. My old run was just chicken wire and I didn't have any issues. Let's hope that luck keeps up. I'll probably re enforce it with welded wire a little at a time

Finally got my new A frame style coop completed.

Almost done with the A frame coop. Just got to figure out a door, add the metal roof, and make the ramp. Should be one more days work

I've been using pine shavings durring the summer months. Should I switch to straw durring the winter time?

I think it depends on the chicken breed on how fast they lay. Mine are leghorns and they usually lay once a day. I've been getting 6 a day. For some reason all 6 of ours use the same box.
