We have two broody hens that have been sitting on eggs that have not hatched, and they are way past the time they should have hatched by. Should I just remove them? I feel horrible doing that to them, but I'm afraid they will just keep sitting on them.

Thanks, Nambroth. I did read that information, which left me even more confused. That's why I really am going to try and find someone to do the testing, so I know for sure what we're dealing with. Have no idea what it will cost, but not knowing is really bugging me.

UGH....I was really hoping to get guineas to take care of the tick problem, but I'm not sure now. With four of us having Lyme disease, I'm willing to do just about anything, but I don't think my neighbors will share those feelings. Thanks for all the info.
