Amusing! My chicks all come running when I call out "chick, chick, CHICKS!" They roam in our front yard and come running when they see my car pull up in the drive to greet me. NO ONE can convince me that chickens don't care about their "mommy".

So I wrapped its leg after my initial post and now that leg seems fine and the other is red right at the joint (almost like internal bleeding) and the foot is starting to swell. Still drinking water like a champ, but just laying there. It wiggles over to the water using its wings to crawl...

The chick can't walk at all anymore and is just laying flat. When I hold it up its feet turn outwards, and the 'injured' one is almost turned completely out.
Okay I have a 2 day old sticky chick that has a swollen foot. It was fine yesterday and today its foot is swollen and hot none of the other chicks have this. What could it be? I don't see a scab so I don't think it's bumble foot.
