I had a white leghorn hen (of course lays white eggs) hatch out eggs last summer. Ended up with 4 white hens (1 or 2 with black speckles and the other 2 solid white) and 2 White roosters. The dad is an Olive Egger. 3 out of 4 have recently started laying. 1 lays pink eggs, 1 lays light green...
I attached a photo of the incubator. It’s wasn’t anything like I had expected when I received it but by the time I took it out of the box it was too late to send it back. I thought it would have been a lot bigger than it is. When the chick stood up it pushed the lid off. It’s advertised for...
I’m doing my first hatch using an incubator I purchased on Amazon. First and last time I’ll be using this one. Yesterday was day 21 so I was expecting babies today. I woke up to one very loud chirping chick this morning. When I went to check on it it had flipped the entire lid off the incubator...

I purchased this rooster back in August. When I purchased him I was told he was a Oliver Egger. I’m not sure since I have heard that Olive Eggers have pea combs and muffs. He has a single Comb and no muffs and has feathered legs.
I have 4 White Leghorn Mix pulleys that around around 12-14 weeks old. The Rooster was a Olive Egger and Hen was a White Leghorn. Will they lay only white eggs or is there a chance they could lay colored eggs?
I have a mallard cross duck hen I got at the beginning of June. About 2 days after bringing her home she broke her leg. I’m guessing she was injured by the rooster or the drake chasing her or she got her leg hung and broke it trying to get loose. She laid an egg every morning before her...
This is great. Thank you for posting. I have been searching for weeks on broody white Leghorns and couldn’t find anything. Mine went broody with sitting on 8 eggs. They started hatching this morning. So exciting.
