Most of the Serama chicks that have hatched so far. I still have one egg pipped on the wrong end. He isn't ready to come out yet and I have to leave the house! What to do!?!?

I woke up to find two new chicks had hatched and one just zipped and popped out. Five altogether so far. I have four pips and 6 eggs I'm still watching for activity. I had 15 that went into lockdown. I'll get more pictures later this morning. My incubator isn't nearly as neat and organized as...

My second egg finally hatched. At 3 am this morning I had two pips. I have more pips now and some rocking eggs that chirp. This is really taking a long while. They are all Serama eggs and today is day 20. So far it looks like it will be a good hatch.

This is the first chick. He looks to be a solid yellow. I have at least two more pips so far this morning. He seems to be worried. Chirping loudly. Maybe the others will hurry up.

Hi Everyone! I hadn't planned to join the hatch, but I did set eggs on March 13 and 14. It'll still be fun to follow along.

This is a chick I hatched from LuckyPickens. I was hoping for a pullet, but picked it up today and noticed a comb. I have more due to hatch today. The PO is really hard on my eggs so I was really glad to find so many good eggs in this batch.

If you keep the roosters, you might want to get more hens. The roosters will fight over them. This is not good for the hens. One rooster will be enough.

OK, One pip saturday night. Three more today pipped. One out and calling his other friends. One pipped internally I think. Chirping away, but no pip in the shell yet. Still waiting on 7 more to do something.

SherrieT I would love to get the count of hatched chicks from the store bought eggs. I had heard of people getting some to hatch. I'm SherrieM and also from Tucson. My eggs are on day 20. All silkies. Should get some pips tomorrow.
