If ever you're concerned about ducks and cold/snow, all of mine slept outside last night and were covered in snow...lol.

Mine have been eating and drinking just fine. I left the run door open today to see if they would venture out, but they stayed inside the coop all day, so I guess they're a bit smarter than I thought.
I came here with the same question. Mine have been closed up in the run since Friday. They've spent most of the time in the coop, although I have them on camera sleeping outside in negative weather when the wind died down. I've been taking them water every few hours. They are all eating and...
It's been over a week since I started treating her. Two nights ago, she got really bad and was throwing her head back with each gasp. She's not done that the past couple of days. I was going to cull her yesterday, but couldn't bring myself to do it. I have been keeping her in a cage in the shed...
That's a huge relief! She was puttering around on the pond with everyone else, too, just more slowly, but she was bobbing her head into the water every so often. I guess my main concern is if she's in pain or suffering, or is it just like when we have bronchitis or pneumonia and is just irritating?
I just dosed her with 1/4 crushed tablet of terbinafine in 3ml of water and gave her half of that. I kept dripping it on her tongue, and she was drinking it. She was separated again from her sisters by an outside corner of the coop. Now, I've haven't even tried to pick her (or any of them) up...
She is still hanging on and keeping up. She sleeps well and doesn't seem to be suffering. I actually have some terbinafine 250mg and enough for 8 weeks. I'm starting to dose her today. I'm also moving the duck coop and run to a fresh spot and am switching the straw/hay bedding with large pine...
I'm pretty sure that it's Aspergillosis, as they constantly root in the mulch, and I've read that mulch and compost carry a massive amount of spores. She's now out on the pond with the others, so I'll monitor her.
She won't really let me near her. She waddles away when I try to. The thing is, I never handle these ducks, as they never warmed up to me. They tolerate me when I'm feeding them at night, but the rest of the time they avoid me and run away when I'm near.
I finished the round of dewormer two days ago. She is not any better, but she seems to have completely degraded the past day. She was extremely active and keeping up with the others, until this morning, she is panting very badly and is isolating herself at the outside of the pen. Is it time to...
I posted in the regular duck forum, and it was suggested to post here, too.
The first link is next to her sister from same brood. They're just getting done molting, so they all look a little scraggly. She makes no noise when panting...
Hello,
I have a 3.5 year old Buff Orpington hen (one of five) that has been panting and heaving for the past several weeks. I, at first, thought it was the heat, but she's doing it since it's cooled down, too. She molted just fine, as they're all finishing molting. They've all quit laying for...
