We got our chicks at 3 days old and they are now approaching 17 weeks. All hens. 2 Wyendotts, 2 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Black Sex Links, 3 Comets, and 2 White Leghorns. I have greeted them every morning since we received them with "Good morning, Ladies". They respond to that greeting and my voice...

We are also in Colorado and new to chickens. We have a backyard arrangement with coop and fenced and covered run for 11 chickens.
