I pulled a Wheaten from her shell today. She doesn't appear to be in any pain, and is getting around in the brooder. Not a great first hatch, but I think she will survive.
So far, I still only have the one, and no movement elsewhere. I took a chance and got him out.
He's in the brooder, moving around pretty well, and making plenty of noise. Still crossing my fingers.
We've had the power go out a few times in the last 6 months. Never for any more than 30 minutes, so I was a bit worried about there being no heat source at that point.
They are BCMs and Wheatens, all from Garry Farms in GA (bargain on BYC).
