Chicken Coop Day 1.....All materials were leftovers from other jobs and given to us. We only had to buy a couple of 2x4's for like $20 so far. It's 6ft x 8ft and the walls are 6ft tall.

Okay, I isolated this hen as soon as I noticed it was getting worse, but I'm afraid some of my other hens may also be infected.
My rooster beat her up pretty bad...her back is bare and she must have laid a huge egg because her vent is prolapsed; she is coughing, wheezing, and sometimes gasping...

According to this site; chicken eggs humidity should be much higher than what is recommended by most BYC'ers on this forum. I had four well developed chicks last week that did not pip at all.....I'm wondering if having a higher than 60% humidity would have done the trick???
