    Incubating duck eggs, simple question..

I find it easiest to count by weeks as far as possible, say if I set today (Friday), then going down the calendar to each successive Friday as a week or seven days. So, 3 Fridays down for chicken eggs, 4 for duck eggs.

Ducks are 28 days, right? February also has 28 days, so they would be due on March 2, 28 days.

4-H Club looking for help on hatching Sebastopol goose eggs naturally

Chicken eggs are best within 10 days, I would assume geese are similar.

55 degrees is perfect! But 63 should work fine, too.

    Humidity increasing

I can tell you that I am in north Florida, and can usually run my incubator "dry" and still have enough humidity until lockdown.

    HELP HUGE red ants

Fire ants are usually pretty small. Just how big are these? Any possibility that they are "cow killer ants"? Those are actually wingless wasps that prey on ground wasps.

    Lg 9300 vs.farm innovators 4250

They will very possibly hatch even refrigerated. Many people, including me, have hatched from the fridge.

Preferably less than 2 weeks holding them, best not more than 10 days. As long as they are in the a/c, they will be better off out of the fridge.

Time sensitive! Help- Is this egg fertilized?

If she's been sitting on those 2 for 4-9 days, then, sorry, but they aren't fertile. Doesn't look like the bullseye, and there should be visible development by this time. Sorry

    A treatise on Electric Fencing

I would suspect that gfi trip and ac charger more coincidental than cause and effect, generally if you are using a gfi, it is a wet area, and maybe rain is a factor. Yes, power surges DO affect ac chargers, sometimes just blowing a fuse, sometimes sending off to Parmak for repair. I don't think...

    A treatise on Electric Fencing

Nice work. There is one thing I would like to clarify. An ac charger does NOT trip a gfi with every shock. I have had 3 ac chargers plugged into 4 different gfi outlets without issue. This is because the circuitry, including a capacitor where the charge originates, is sort of separated from the...

    Hen left her eggs

I would try candling the eggs she left to try to determine if they are still viable. If viable, either stick them in an incubator or lock her in with them. If not viable, I would first deny her access to the other hen.
