This listing is for 12 + extras of PURE golden manchurian coturnix quail hatching eggs. My strain comes from James Marie Farms and they are large compared to other strains of this coloration and lay eggs with with a glossy appearance and a very dark colored blotched shell.
$15 for the 12+...
I have 4 emus and I am not certain of their sexes but im almost certain i have both sexes going by the sounds they make. But 2 were vent sexed by a farmer i bought them from as females when they were chicks.
They will be 3 years old this spring and I was very much expecting to get eggs from them...
Can anyone tell me what color my keets are? I bought 16 but i was only able to get a photo of these 6 because they kept jumping out of the box.
The guy i bought them from told me he had "blues, browns and whites"
Can grass be fermented the same way as grains a veggies?
My chickens dont get much green stuff in the winter because they for some reason never wander further than 50ft from the coop and since the coop is in the forest no grass grows in that area.
I have been picking 5 gallon bucket fulls of...
I was going to build a few new enclosures for the birds and I thought some high enclosures would be amusing.
My plan is for new enclosures that are 16ft high and several perches at different heights but would the pheasants actually use the space or would all the height be a waste of materials?
A while back I broke one of the pieces that goes to my automatic egg turner. The piece is the part that attaches the motor to all of the rails.
I had a second turner so I put the part in my shelf with plans to glue it back together later on...and then i lost it.
Where can I buy a replacement and...
Can I use Safe-Guard goat dewormer (fenbendazole) in my 9 month old emus water the same way i deworm smaller "poultry"?
3cc per gallon of water for 2 days and again 14 days later.
I am concerned about deworming them for the first time because it is a little difficult to get the ideal weight of...
Has anyone here tried fermenting sprouts or perhaps fodder? Seems like fermenting those two would help a lot with keeping them more long term.
I did a search of the thread and did not see anyone saying anything about fermenting either.
Thanks.
I want to attempt growing fodder this spring and soon realized I did not have a source for barley or wheat and I was told oats don't work to well for fodder.
I just started fermenting this week. I am using corn, oats and a few sunflower seeds. Depending on how well fermenting works out...
Does anyone have problems with their fermented feed luring in more predators than normal? I am actually a little concerned about luring in feral pigs.....among other things.
I received these yesterday and since this is an auto-sexing breed I am concerned because it looks like I have 9 males and 1 female. But perhaps not?
Only one of the chicks has the obvious stripes that females of this breed should have but a couple of others have faint hints of the striping...
