What do you use? And what do mites look like? At first it looked like chickens where growing white pen feathers on head. My mother says its mites, not sure. They don't scratch or anything.

Could be mosquitoes, here is south texas now it's terrible. Of course fireants are real bad too however they like to let you know if they're around!
I'm getting more chickens but it's warm down here til December. Go ahead and get a few more! My problem is not space but getting the coops built. I've built 7 and am working on 8 which will be the last one.
Out of 4 silkies two black silkies lived and out of 16 quail 9 lived. I've already sold the silkies but I still have the quail will be taking pictures today. Sure am glad it's cooling down a little!
No any color will do - you must have no hearing left! What colors do you have? Do you incubate your eggs? How much do you want for them? You have picture? Yes, I know so many questions! Thanks!

The noise level is getting out of control! We bought the french guinea hens to eat mostly but am thinking about selling a few - what is a reasonable price they are about four months old and weight about three lbs(the males).
I've been hearing peeping and four eggs have little cracks - so we'll see. Four silkie eggs and 16 quail eggs so far nothing from quail eggs. Not due to hatch til tomorrow. Some hope there - wish it would cool off here!
