I am in Fairfield, NJ. My FB page has darling pics and video of Rufio. He is perfect for an affectionae, lovable pet. To someone that sees him as a cherished pet not a good meal. I am heartbroken that the reality of keeping chickens means that eventually some will be butchered, especially roos.

I empathize greatly. I have a snuggly, beautiful 3 month old Buff Orp roo that I have to find a home for because we were expecting only female sexed chicks. We are not set up for a roo, especially since he found his hormones and our two girls are not mature enough to handle his love dances...
